I was in Country 16 days and a 23 year old Sqd Ldr in Heavy Junk, 299th Cbt Engr Bn attached to the 173rd Airborne Bde 6-10 Nov 1965 for an Operation
(My first real life changing Event)
 
 Got back to parent unit 9 Nov 1965 and Two Days later my Squad was attached to 1st Bn 7th Cav, 1st Air Cav to clear Two LZ's Albany and X-ray and on 14-19 Nov 1965 the Place came apart in what was known a the Battle of
I Drang Valley.
