Why Didn't I have a chance
To sit with my dad once again
Would be a dream come true
I would say the things I
should have said
Like how much "I Love
You!"
So many words were left
unspoken
So many words were left
unsaid
Why didn't I tell him how
I felt?
But I kept my mouth shut
instead.
For fear of embarrassment
and awkwardness
I kept the words tucked in
my heart
Then the Lord took you
home one day
Now my words I can't
impart.
I'm so sorry I never told
you
Just how much I did love
you
Something inside of me
said 'there's no need'
I took it for granted that
you knew.
So Dad I want you now to
know
Even though you're on the
other side
Just how much I love and
miss you
That's why I continue to
cry.

Dearest Dad
Loving thoughts of you
And memories of times past
Golfing, fishing and times
we spent
They are so special to me,
and memories last
Each night I say my
prayers
I ask Jesus to send you my
love
And that I said hi
My Dad was sent from God
above
Thank you Daddy for being
there
Your kindness makes me
miss you all the more
Your hugs and kisses are
always in my memory
We had a good relationship
and rapport
So on this special
Father's Day
And other days
You are always in my heart
I send you all my love and
praise

Memories of Dad
1 John 5:3
I will take this special moment
To turn my thoughts to Dad
Thank him for the home he gave
For all the things we had.
We think about the fleeting years
Too quickly, gone for good
It seems like only yesterday
I’d go back if I could.
A time when Dad was always there
No matter what the weather
Always strong when things went wrong
He held our lives together.
He strived so hard from day to day
And never once complained
With steady hands, he worked the land
And kept the family name.
He taught us that hard work pays off
You reap just what you sow
He said that if you tend your crops
Your field will overflow.
My harvest has been bountiful
He taught me how to give
In his firm and steadfast way
He taught me how to live.
Dad dwells among the angels now
He left us much too soon
He glides across a golden field
Above the harvest moon.
I see him in the fields of grain
He rides upon the wind
And when my path is beaten down
He picks me up again.
Proverbs 4:1-4 KJV
"HEAR, ye children, the instruction
of a father, and attend to know
understanding. For I give you good
doctrine, forsake ye not my law. For
I was my father's son, tender and only
beloved in the sight of my mother. He
taught me also, and said unto me, Let
thine heart retain my words: keep my
commandments, and live."
